Antietam Creek
Overview
Take a trip down the scenic Antietam Creek. This creek offers a mix of slow to moderate flowing water with occasional small rapids (Class I & II). Enjoy the abundance of wildlife that is found in the area.
Commonly found are: Turtles, herons, ducks, geese, bald eagles, hawks, wild turkey, numerous songbirds, muskrat, whitetail deer, fox, and many others. Don’t forget to look down too! There’s a wide variety of fish and aquatic friends watching you go by.
You will also float along and through the Antietam National Battlefield, centuries old farmsteads, and stone-arched bridges, including the historic Burnside Bridge.
